Formulary

A formulary, tied to a tiered benefit structure, sets the clinical foundation of a pharmacy plan and ensures members have access to needed medications and financial incentives to make good choices. Our formularies include open, hybrid and closed options and we help clients evaluate and choose the best one to meet their goals. Most clients discover that choosing a formulary that excludes a subset of clinically-equivalent drugs significantly reduces plan costs without placing an undue burden on members.

Clinical programs ensure members get the right drug at the best possible cost. Mail Order Pharmacy

With the WellDyne Mail Order pharmacy, a 90-day supply of maintenance medications is delivered directly to the patient to help slow disease progression and avoid complications of chronic disease. We take the lead to contact prescribers to resolve questions, renew prescriptions or request preferred brand medications. We make it easy to order refills, set reminders and track prescriptions. When members can skip the retail trip, save time, money and hassle, they have a ready supply of medication and adherence goes up.

Retail Pharmacy Network

The WellDyne national network includes more than 65,000 retail pharmacy locations including large national chains, regional chains and many independent pharmacies. We use strict quality standards to select pharmacies and require adherence to State Board of Pharmacy regulations regarding staffing requirements, qualifications and the ratio of pharmacists to technicians. Narrow networks yield deeper discounts and we have the flexibility to exclude specific chains or pharmacy locations to create custom networks for clients.
