WellDyne Clinical Leaders Share Highlights of our 2020 Drug Trend Report and Review Emerging Industry Trends
The WellDyne clinical team provides detailed insights into pharmacy trend drivers in 2019. Highlights from our Drug Trend Report Webinar include:
- A review of the top therapeutic categories driving trend in 2019. Inflammatory conditions was the top driver, accounting for 17% of drug spending.
- Clients participating in the WellManaged Diabetes program experienced a trend that was 3.5% lower than clients that did not implement the program.
- Clients that newly implemented our Hyperinflationary Drug Program had an 80% decrease in spend on these egregiously overpriced medications that offer no additional clinical benefit.
- A Future Trends section that details emerging technology, treatment innovations and pipeline drugs in the late stages – all projected to impact pharmacy costs in the coming years.
